CONFETTI Our edible confetti (also called “quins”) are specialty shaped sprinkles. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. Use our confetti to decorate cakes, cupcakes and cookies. They are made of sugar, cornstarch, rice flour, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, gum Arabic, xanthan gum, natural and artificial flavor, mon-and diglycerides, titanium dioxide and color. They have an indefinite shelf life. Keep in a dry storage area.
COOKIE CUTTERS Our cookie cutters are made of sturdy tinplate that will last a lifetime. To keep them from rust you need to clean with soapy water and towel dry. Keep cookie cutters in a dry area.
DECORATING TIPS OR TUBES We carry the newest tips made from a high quality plastic which will not bend out of shape. They fit most standard couplers, are dishwasher safe, don’t rust, and are resistant to food stains. Because the plastic tips float, they are less likely to go down the drain or get into garbage disposals. If you use tips when working with candy coating, you will find the candy does not set up as quickly as it does in a metal tip. If it does, you can now microwave your decorating bag for a few seconds to warm.
DISPOSABLE DECORATING BAGS Our disposable decorating bags are made of polyethylene which provides a sturdy bag that will hold 1 ½ cups of frosting. You can cut the bags to allow the size tip you need. You can also attach a coupler into the bag to allow interchangeable tips. It is fun to use the clear bags for gift bags of hot cocoa, candy and popcorn. Just decorate with a ribbon.
EDIBLE GLITTER Edible glitter is small transparent flakes that add a very unique look to cakes, cupcakes and cookies. They come in a variety of beautiful colors. Although they look fake they are completely edible. Made of gum arabic, edible glitter is FDA approved.
EXTRACT AND FLAVORINGS Pure extracts and imitation flavorings add delicious flavor and color (unless clear) to frostings, icings, fondants, and baking recipes. Adding just a little of the extract or flavoring goes a long way. These are not to be used to flavor chocolate or candy coatings.
FONDANT We carry a delicious fondant called “Satin Ice”. Satin Ice Fondant, a rollable cake icing, is a premium quality, non-stick, pliable icing which may be rolled out by hand using a rolling pin or fondant roller. Satin Ice produces a satin smooth elegant finish to any cake. It may be used as a modeling paste to create decorative pieces, and is the ideal cake covering used to cover wedding, novelty and special occasion cakes.
FOOD COLOR SOFT GEL PASTE Our food colors are not what you buy at the grocery store. Our food colors are a soft gel paste that comes in a .75 ounce squeeze bottles. Each drop brings out the color of your icings and frostings. We carry a variety of vibrant colors.
MERINGUE POWDER Meringue powder is a substitute ingredient to egg whites. It is made of a mixture of dried, powdered egg whites, cornstarch and gums which help it bind together. Bakers like working with meringue powder because they can be assured no yolk is in the recipe which can happen if using fresh egg whites. Decorators use meringue powder to make royal icing which is used in a variety of decorating methods. Meringue powder has an indefinite shelf life.
NON-PAREILS Non-pareils are a decorative confection of tiny sugar balls, traditionally an opaque white, but now available in a variety of colors. They are made of sugar, cornstarch, confectioners glaze and carnauba wax.
QUINS Our quins are also known as edible confetti – see edible confetti.
ROYAL ICING Royal icing (see our recipe) is a pure white icing that dries to a smooth, hard, matte finish. Besides its lovely finish it also color beautifully with our gel pastes. It is a favorite for decorators not only for frosting cakes and cookies, but also fo intricate piping of decorations. Once icing is dry and hard you can stack decorated cookies or make beautiful bouquets.
SANDING SUGARS Our sanding sugar is a fine decorating sugar. It is slightly coarser than table sugar. We carry a variety of brilliant colors. They are edible and will not dissolve when subjected to heat, which makes them ideal for baking. You can sprinkle some sanding sugar on your sugar cookies prior to baking them and they will make a beautiful colored cookie. They really add sparkle to any decorated baked good.
SUGAR OR EDIBLE PEARLS Our sugar pearls add beautiful décor to your decorated cakes, cookies and cupcakes. Our edible pearls come in a pearl-like, metallic or matte finish. Most are 4mm size and have an indefinite shelf life. They should always be stored in a dry, dark place to avoid fading and moisture. Sugar pearls are made of sugar, starch, glazing agent, wax, color and vegetable fat. They come in a variety of colors.
SPRINKLES Also known as “jimmies”, our sprinkles are more than just toppings for ice cream. They are small, skinny stick-shaped decorations that can be sprinkled on top of cakes, cookies and cupcakes. They come in a variety of colors. Store in a dark, dry place to prevent fading and moisture. They have an indefinite shelf life. |
